Atlanta’s temporary public art project, Art on the BeltLine, needs your help with clean ups this weekend!

Art on the BeltLine needs your help on May 1st and 2nd in clearing and preparing artists’ installation sites on trails on the east and west sides of Atlanta! In addition to clearing artists’ specific sites, we will also pick up general trash as we prepare to launch temporary public art projects in June and to introduce people to newly opened sections of the BeltLine.

Decatur’s annual Oakhurst Community Garden Plant Sale 2010 is this weekend, April 9th and 10th, 2010! The Oakhurst plant sale has a wide variety of vegetables, fruits, herbs, flowers, and general plants for sale, including heirloom tomatoes, eggplants, beans, peppers, kale, broccoli, lettuce, chard, and much more. The transplants and seedlings are all very affordable, with a focus on certified organic seeds and soil fertilized with worm castings and compost.
